Do you know for sure the HDD is OK?
Did the initialise process finish OK? normally you get a message saying so.
Try again ;)

OK, remove the drive and re-format it in a PC (NTFS or FAT32) and see if its actually works OK in the PC.
If it is OK then refit into your STB and re-initialise, it will most likey work then ;)

Hi, I am a newbie to all this, I have no idea what I am doing:)

Thing is I bought this box from someone with years channels everything is working but the recording

He said he will help on Saturday, so I will wait for him then if it does not work I will do your method.

Thank you for your help, can't praise enough.

Hi how do I update to latest software and what do you mean by start again? Will I lose all channels on my box if I update?
