Hi guys,

Does the Solo2 support 1080p? I know BT Sport transmits in 1080p, but when I click on info while watching the channel, it says it's in 1920x1080ix25

I have set 1080p output in the display settings.

I thought that pal. But BT advertise that its in 1080p.

Ya think that will be through their own BT Vision?

But lets see what someone else says I may be wrong.

Its only 1080i on satellite. Maybe they use progressive scan on other transmissions.

as pointed out above sky dont broadcast in 1080P it takes up way too much valuable bandwidth that they could sell to some one else, it's likely as you say via BT's own box that it's broadcast in 1080P but thats just my guess.

The only 1080p broadcast on satellite that I am aware of is a test broadcast on 10e. Its a test for ultra hd and is made up of 4 channels

BT don't advertise as 1080p, they say that BT lives in HD 1080... Which is probably 1080i, if it was p you'd better believe they would be shouting about it.

I doubt that, as no box is capable of receiving an 1080p signal.

Many boxes can output 1080p, but that's a different story.

Don't underestimate Robs ability to understand English, I think you will find that it's actually better than most Brits on this forum..

Just my opinion on BT Sports, I have noticed this since launch that of all the channels available from Sky that this channel is the most crystal clear picture.

Agreed, Rob has better written English than most of the natives I know.
