need help with plugins

my solo2 box is arriving tomorrow, i want to know which plugin should i install as i want to record channels (as it coming with 500gb HD) 7 days EPG and if there is any plugin to record series....thanks

If it comes with vix installed u will already have the epg and great recording out the box

Just follow the guide on openvix site to setup cross epg


Tsmedia is a decent plugin tho

That will very much depend on the image that's on the box.

its doesnt come with vix as i have to install it though, i just went to openvix.co.uk but it has only openvix firmwares no EPG setup process tho :(...i am newbie to this please help how to do it, many thanks

The epg setup is under the tutorials section

Along with abm - auto bouguet maker

The images on open vix are he vix ones so goto the solo 2 section and firmware 808 is latest version

Download it and extract the contents to a USB stick formatted in fat32

Insert into a USB port on box
Fully power down

Then switch back on
If done correctly it should read the USB stick and say press to update on the screen on th box


All u do is hit the soft touch power button next to screen and it will flash the image and restart after it's finished
