Auto-chaptering functionality?

Hello there,

I posted this question/suggestion on main forum already (http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?35893-Auto-chaptering-functionality-any-plugin-hidden-settings-available) but but Rob van der Does suggested that I should move this to the dedicated ViX section. So here it is:

is there any "auto chaptering" function for recording movies/others? My 2006 DVD/HD recorder had the ability to set chapters at the start/end of ad breaks, which made it particularly quick and easy to skip ads when playing back recorded material, or removing ads before archiving. Is there any plug-in available to add this functionality? If not, then I believe this would be a useful feature to add to future releases.

Nope, there isn't.
Best practise is to use the jump-buttons (and fine tune with FF/RW).

Jump buttons are perfect for this.

Numbers 1 and 3 - 30 secs
Numbers 4 and 6 - 60 secs
Numbers 7 and 9 - 240 secs

Through those adds in no time😀

You can change the settings. My prefereed values are:
Numbers 1 and 3 - 15 secs
Numbers 4 and 6 - 60 secs
Numbers 7 and 9 - 120 secs
