Can't record and watch a different channel at the same time

I can't record sky movies and watch another channel but I can record bbc and watch another fta channel at the same time, I have both tuners set to simple, single, 28.2e eutelsat 28a & Astra 1n/2a/2f. Could some one help me out please. Thanks very much for any help

you do have both cables in rear of box on 28.2,maybe bbc and other channel on same tp which will allow 2 recordings.

Yes, when I record sky sports 1 it'll let me watch other sky sports channels even some movie channels aswell but if I try watch one that isn't highlighted it says no free tuner, why is this?

both tuners are in use to record on 28.2,check what timer recordings are in use at same time,channels are greyed out=not viewable,ones that are highlighted you can look at.
