Dolby Digital Plus

I am asking myself the following question: The VU+Duo is (according to the spec) not compatible with "Dolby Digital Plus". However, if the TV supports Dolby Digital Plus, would the sound go through the HDMI cable and be decoded by the TV?

Your view on this will be appreciated.

yes it does passthrough, I have it connected to my amp with HDMI and any Dolby Digital on HD channels is recognised by the amp immediately

Thanks or your prompt reply. So you mean as the passthrough is working for Dolby Digital (AC3), it should work or the Dolby Digital plus (AC3+)?

yes it does, as far as the box is concerned its just audio datastream whatever the format.
