Not sure which part of forum this belongs to. This is an excel package to help in sorting out your sort file. I hope it is simplifies the process so you can have customised bouquets that are updated by Lraizer's AutoBouquets E2. This file IS NOT REQUIRED for AB 28.2, it is just to help in organising the sort file. You can also get service refernce names for renaming picons.

Autobouquets 28.2 by Lraizer is different from the OE Alliance AutoBouquetsMaker by AndyBlac and Skaman.

Instructions here, but also attached in package.

This is an excel package to help in sorting out your sort file. I hope it is simplifies the process so you can have customised bouquets that are updated by Lraizer's AutoBouquets E2. This file IS NOT REQUIRED for AB 28.2, it is just to help in organising the sort file.

On the 23/10/2013 version, you can sort the channel in the bouquets listed below. (The Neutrino version has more bouquets which can also be renamed. Hopefully coming soon to E2)

#01 - Entertainment
#02 - Lifestyle
#03 - Movies
#04 - Music
#05 - Sports
#06 - News
#07 - Documentaries
#08 - Religious
#09 - Kids
#0a - Shopping
#0b - Sky Box Office
#0c - International
#0d - Gaming and Dating
#0e - Specialist
#0f - Adult
#10 - Other

How to use:

1. Run AB 28.2 so that and up-to-date csv file is created for you. It will be located in the plugin folder.
/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/AutoBouquets/
Copy "autobouquets.csv"to your PC in the same folder as the Interrogator, replace the one that I have attached.

2. Open the .csv file before opening the Interrogator.

3. Open the interrogator.

Your will note that there are several tabs,10 corresponding to the customisable bouquets.
grabber = imports data from the csv file. You will not ethat there are a few other details included. Ignore them if they mean nothing to you.
The picon names are there However,
numerical = re-arranges the channels into numerical sequence. This data is used for vlookups to return names etc.
Sort file = gathers whatever you fill in the other bouquets.

4A. In each bouquet tab, type the number of the channels you want in the YELLOW column. Also place them in the sequence you want. Do not worry about the other columns, they will reflect any changes you make.

4B. Some people find it easier to have channels in alphabetical order, you can use the excel function to rearrange these. Column A is equal to column H to aid this process.

You can have duplicates but not one after the other. eg, have a few favourites at top of each bouquet but also lower down in alphabetical order.

5. Now go to the red "Sort File" tab. As you will hopefully find, the channels will be in sorted according to what you did in the other tabs.

6. Save the excel file to save you from having to redo your work. You can save as different names so that you can have a restore point.

7. Copy column A (yellow one) and paste into your custom_sort_3.txt file.

8. Transfer to the plugin folder.

9. For custom sort to work, you will need to change the "Bouquet Channel sort" option so that it is "Sort 3".

10. Feel free to share your sort files.

When you next run AB 28.2, the channels will be in your chosen order.

Once again, this file is to assist in organising the sort file. AB 28.2 does not require it.
If you can rephrase this to make it easier, please do so.

Custom Swap
A separate feature of the plugin, has a higher priority than sort. Have a look at custom_swap.txt which also in the plugin directory. e.g 103=178
When you type 103, you will get 178 and the opposite way round too. The channels in the main numbering bouquet as well as the channels in the bouquet are swapped.

Supplement
You can override/create channel details. More details at the top of the file.

Custom sort has a lower priority than above two.

Abu,

Fantastic file. Thank you. I will be setting up my Duo in my brothers house and wanted to automate the bouquets (I maintain my own bouquets, but want automation for my Bro). VIX ABM is excellent but does not seem to allow some additions, like ITV/UTV, on the Irish channels (As they are not part of the SKY line up). I have been looking at the Beta thread that Lraizer started in 2012 - very informative and a good read on how the plugin has developed over two years. I have a few more pages to read on that thread but can I ask....

1. I have removed the UK main bouquet thus disabling SKY numbering. I have removed several channels from Entertainment bouquet. Using your file is it possible to add placeholders to buffer/increase the starting channel number of the next bouquet, Lifestyle?

2. I want to merge Documentaries into Lifestyle (then delete Doc on next AB run) - Can I use the channel numbering from the "grabber" to add channels, normally in Doc into Lifestyle. Will this work?

3. I use DTT. Through the VIX menu I can Add service to Bouquet, then move that service to top of entertainment (RTE1), and delete the Sat RTE1. Will this change be saved to the csv file so I can further edit on your spreadsheet if I FTP it back to my PC?

As said, I have almost finished reading the Beta post but there was only one mention of DTT channels (by judge I think) but no follow up answer.

I was looking to use this on my Bro's setup but the more I have read the more I realise the versatility of the plug in, and would like to use it on my setup, so the DTT question.

Thanks again.

Hi, just finished reading the beta thread and there are references to cable channels - Lraizer has started a thread on his home forum - integration of DVB-T and S2 would be great but I like the idea of this plugin Greatly. No bother using a bouquet for Saorview separately. Where is the home forum please?

1.
Not sure about placeholders. But you can virtually place any channel in any bouquet. I'm sure you can not add two identical channels consecutively. You can however use alternates. example below. Not exactly placeholders, but will achieve increasing the number for next bouquet.

You may wish to consider the alternate numbering in the image so that every bouquet starts at 1.

101
102
101
102
101

2.
The grabber file is basically getting the details from the csv file that the plugin created.

In answer to your question, yes you can effectively merge bouquets. If you delete a bouquet using the image feature, you must stop the plugin from making default bouquets otherwise it will recreate it on next run.

An example of usage is to move the newer news channels 570-573 from Docs to News.

You are not using my file to do this, the plugin does it. This excel file just gives you means to see how altering the sort file affects the bouquet.

3. The plugin uses the sort file (when enabled) to create the bouquets. You will have to manually move the DTT channel into the bouquet after every run. You can remove the satellite version of chanenl from your sort file so that you do not have to delete it.

Thank you very much.

1. I ask this Q as my modded Entertainment channels stop at 97 - I would like to make the next bouquet start at 100, but not use actual channels/repeated channels.

2. Great news - I understood from the beta thread that Create main bouquets needs to be disabled - main reason it is so good. The visibility the excel file gives makes it so much easier to radically change the sort order of channels.

3. That's fine. I can keep them in one custom bouquet. Will play around with it.

This is great so far.

Why not just create a favourites type bouquet, add up to 100 channels to that, including a mix of soarview DVB-T & other DVB-S channels.
Set that as your main bouquet, and let either version of ABM do the rest to the auto generated bouquets?

I find it fairly rare that one of my favourites changes frequency but when it does, it's pretty easy using the remote to fix the channel by moving it back to my favourites from the ABM generated bouquets.

This way, you will always have your favourites as well as localised SKY numbering in place.

I'm not sure what to do tbh. I put my Duo in the Bro's and used ABM (VIX) - he asked within two days that Saorview (rte1HD & rte2HD AND ITV's) be at the start, then CHANNEL 4HD, and other HD channels. I have messed around with Lraizer and love the sort options - so much so that I am questioning myself on whether I should maintain my own bouquets.

I think I'm going through the motions on the best way to manage changes, something I haven't done since I started two years ago. The more I read, I realise how much I didn't understand two years ago, but I don't want to overload my Bro - so the want to keep it simple.

In response to post 7.
1. I will post at UKCVS, makes sense to be able to use place holders.

Additionally, the cable autobouquets was done. It was coded to create bouquets in /tmp/. Although he said that his prrof of concept project work was more or less completed, he hinted that it could be improved. It is posted here somewhere.

That project has already resulted in changes the NIM plugin to allow people to use 5 digit network IDs for cable on the OE alliance images.

Have a similar situation with my mother, she doesn't need to know or want to know how how to set up channels.
She's been happily using ViX for 3 years now with little intervention from me.

Create a favourites bouquet with Saorview & the others mostly watched.
Let ABM look after the 100+ channel numbers.

That's sort of the reason I maintain my own bouquets - I figured if I needed to change two, sure I could change 7, it would take only slightly longer, and my list cuts out all the crap channels (in my opinion). Lraizer's gets me a step closer, with a user friendly excel file to feed into the plugin.

You only need to maintain your favourites bouquet though, and extremerly rarely (if only using fixed 28.2 & Saorview?).
Let ABM do what it does best.
