what is the best hard drive to fit internally, ie capacity and size 2.5 or 3.5
Just get the best value for money, you don't need anything super fast :)

2.5 drives generate less heat. As above, use what is most cost effective for you. I bought $ky HD receiver and used the HDD (3.5 but PVR HDD).
Also bear in mind HD recordings take up a lot of space. HDDs die/fail. Any important recordings can be converted and saved to an alternate location.
The "green" type 3.5 drives run a bit cooler.
The likes of a WD green 1 to 2 TB drive isn't too dear :D
Pointless using a 7200rpm drive really.

Ive found buy the slowest ones rpm
These tend to be quieter when spinning
And the are cheaper.

Run cooler too and have a longer lifespan :thumbsup:
