Network an external drive to vu box and browse from iMac

Hi All,

Would the following be possible:-

To connect a usb external hard drive to my duo2 box and then use the boxes wifi to access the external drive from my iMac for storage and back up purposes?

Cant see why not, I do a similar thing with my receivers and windows but via hardwired Lan connections not Wifi.
