Hi guys,
I have a quad lnb on my dish and I'm not using one of the outputs.
I'm using a solo2, can I run 3 of the lnb outputs into a Diseqc to go to the solo2 so I can record 3 channels at once? Is that how it works?
No, you need to run 3 seprate cables, or get a unicable lnb.

I thought that was the purpose of them though? To combine multiple feeds into a single output?
Wiring diagrams I've seen have shown up to 8 satellite feeds going to a single output. Or does it just mean that you can still only record 1 thing, it's just that there is more channel availability on that feed?

Diseqc switches allow you to cobine satellite signals from several lnbs into one cable whcih then goes to a tuner.
They do not allow a tuner to use more than one available transponder that the tuner has locked onto. You could have 20 LNBS on one cable, you can only record/view the ones on the transponder/frequency that the tuner is locked onto.
