Hi mate, not sure if you have sorted this problem. But i had the same , and most of the plug-ins did the same thing. Just download latest image for your machine and install it. This solved my problems and everything works fine now :)

As above, try a fresh flash. You can find the image and various tutorials to help via www.openvix.co.uk

its a vu+duo receiver , and suddenly stopped recording , giving the messgae abovee. i have tried reflashing , using the latest openvix. as shown in your reflashing PDF. the box recoerded and programmed as it used the usb , but when i remove the usb and reboot, it just says starting .... and stops there, according to your PDF it may need a new bootloader, but i have downloaded that , added it to the program files and reflashed with the usb , but still no joy on the start up ,

Where did you buy the box & how much for? might give us an idea.
Does a 7xx build flash & work ok?
Does it have any stickers on the box?

Do you have an hard drive in the Duo?

yes 500Gb does that make a difference , anything else to try please

Can you please unscrew your casing and inside the Vu+ Duo pull out the sata cable from your hard drive. Turn the box off when you do this. When done that try reflashing again with build 3.0.753 please.

Andy_Hazza

You can leave the casing off while you reflash without hdd attached, I just want to narrow things down for you.

bigyin43
25-01-14, 09:21
just trying that, at least casing not too difficult to remove

still stuck at starting

it says on top of case to use only vu+duo software, but it was working with openvix before, just stopped recording , and crashing the software

hhmmmmm. Usually by un attaching the hard drive and reflashing would point to a possible clone box. On the back of the receiver you don't have a sticker saying 2.0 or 3.0?

Andy_Hazza
25-01-14, 09:29
Are you reflashing using the front usb port and with no other usb's attached in the rear ports. Can you confirm?

bigyin43
25-01-14, 09:31
v 3.2 on sticker

just using front usb, is it worth trying a rear one ?

shall i reattach hard drive, and replase casing ?

Unfortunately the sticker says its a clone box. This forum won't offer support on clones. A friend of mine gave me a cloned Duo box to update the software which he was un aware of and I wasn't aware until further investigation and using a cloned version software got the box running again. If you PM me I will try and point you in the right direction, as no support will be given here, even though it's through no fault of yours.

Use the in built channel maker. Go to Menu, Setup, Service Searching, ABM (AutoBouquetsMaker). Once setup correctly then setup to scan daily at say 04:00am, Then setup the crossEPG to scan say at 04:10am.
