lost password issues

for the last week i could not login because older pc had my current saved password and new lappy did not and found it very hard to get back in even maxed out my logins,should the login page have a reset area,if it does where is it:confused:

Lads is the 30 day password a setting I can change for my login.
Its mad changing every 30 days.
I work in a very security conscious company and even the securest systems have 60 or 90 days reset.
What is achieved in changing the password so often ?
Someone might log into my account and make a post in my name ?? Shock Horror....

As well as making a post they can also obtain your email and any other personal details you have on the forum.

If a person has your password then they only need 2 minutes to get your details. They are hardly going to wait 31 days and say "Why didn't I try earlier"
