gigablue quad dreambox edit

having a few problems connecting to dreambox edit ..test connection successfuly connects,test username fails ,got username as root ,password empty any help will be much appreciated ...thanks

Telnet into your box and type : passwd
Press enter

You will then be prompted to enter your new password..
type new password and press Enter
Re-type your new password and press enter..

Now you will have a new password on your box..
Go back to DBEdit and enter your NEW password..

Now it should connect..

You can use either of these 2..

putty or Dreambox Control Centre
