Restoring Settings Backup on New VU+ Duo

Hi everyone, I'm sorry if this is something that has been covered before but i couldn't find an answer when i searched.

A mate of mine has bought a VU+ Duo & i'm going to help him set it up. To save a bit of time is it possible to restore a backup of my settings onto his box? If so would you restore it from USB or FTP the settings backup onto the new box?

You can restore a settings backup from one receiver of the same type to another for example a Duo to a Duo but not from different receivers like a Solo to a Duo.

Just create a settings or image backup onto a USB stick via the image manager / backup manager ( Blue button > ViX ) use the same managers to restore the backups on the new machine. If you create a image backup you can flash it same as with any other image via USB. Be careful to remove you'r personal details though.
