reset my remote

hi tried tuning my remote for my tv ,it did nit work but now my volume and mute buttons do not work ,any idea how i can get them to work again.

Press 1 and 6 for three seconds until the LED is lit.
Press 9, 9, 6.
This will reverse the RCU into a none configured state
