hi im new to this at the moment im doing a lot of reading on the nano etc do I need to down loa looks a great forum regards simon d a dream box control center to my lap top for the nano or some thing like wise for the nano

Yes, you will need to have an ftp client. DCC will work. Although there is no password, use root as well otherwise DCC will not work.

You need ftp and telnet tools. DCC has these, there are alternative methods. For transferring channel lists, use dreamset/dreamboxedit or similar.
