Picture and sound out of sync

For some reason when I press play after fast forwarding it takes maybe 5-10 seconds for the picture to catch up with the sound. It is usually about 5 seconds out of sync and then the picture sort of stutters it way to catch up with the sound. Could it maybe be the HDD?. . Im using a 320gb WD 2.5" recycled from a laptop.

we need more info such as which image and build your using for starters.

If your using ViX please read this thread then repost with the required info.

Im using vix image, build 790. Kernal 3.3.8. I have not Flashed with or without settings restore. Maybe I should? Im kinda of assuming my hdd is rubbish as its from an old laptop, just wanted a bit of feed back if this is common behaviour for a crap hdd.

no, try a new reflash and don't restore anything :)
