Install is the easy part, put the CCcam ipk on a USB and whilst watching live TV without any menus open put the usb in to the receiver and jobs a gooden

Why is that then? I certainly have never had any issues doing it this way.

Sorry, no idea so where the binary should be installed on BH.
Maybe ask on their forums if someone else doesn't jump in here with an answer.

Blackhole packages are normally.tgz If ipk, then line 3 may be different. I may be wrong, but they require a camscript so you can't just put the binary to /usr/bin/ which their image uses for the cams.

transfer package to the tmp folder with FTP program
with the remote press green then yellow
then on the second line down manual install bh packages then press OK
now you can see packages you sent to the box with FTP program
now just click OK on package you want to install follow the on screen info
reboot the box and then when you press
blue you can select and change to which cam you want to use

Where did you buy it new and what price did you pay? No retailer in the UK has any genuine stock.

You should have said this in your first post, would have given different response!!

Softcams are different for every image. So without knowing which image is in use, no answer can be given.

You won't find many BH-specialists on this forum.
Maybe flash ViX?
