Moving recordings to PC

Hi sorry if this is in the wrong section if so please move.

I would like to move all my recordings over to my server but am confused on what to move I have done a search but everything is a couple of years old and I don't know if up to date.

So I know the Ts file is the main video/ audio file but what do I need to move over ?

Just move the ts file on its own, you don't need any of the other associated files.

Windows Media Player plays ts files without any problem.

Using FTP just copy Movie folder on the HD, and paste.

The TS files are very large especially the HD recordings. Football games is roughly 20 GB. Ideally, things you want to keep should be compressed.
