urgent help with Recording on duo

Hi guys

when i try to record on the VU+ duoi it is not working at all. Can someone please tell me why this is and how I can resolve it?

When i press record i get the menu saying:
- Record indefinately
- Record this event etc etc

Then it comes with this message

"In order to record a timer the TV was switched to the recording service"

It just doesnt record at all?

Can somoene help me - dont tell me I have to wipe it again and reflash it do i?

And motorised or fixed dish, how many feeds do you have ???

all sorted i wiped the timers and initialised and it worked

Im using VIX Image with 2 feeds.....how do i go about getting a motorished dish - is it hard to set up?

It all depends on your know how, for me it's easy to set up an motorised dish maby it's hard for you.

So long as you follow the basic rules of a motorized set up, its fairly easy

preferibly, a south facing wall. make sure that the mount pole is is "plumb" set the motor so its pointing true south on the pole, mount the dish so the dish arm is also true south
set the motor elivation to your geographical position ( the north setting ) elivate the dish to your east west position, try and get bbc world on one west, via raising lowering the dish slightly, if you need to move east or west move the whole assembly, not the dish, this is a rough method, but there are walk throughs on the forum
