win32diskimager

Use can use it to take a complete image of your sd card, regardless if how it's formatted

Anyone have luck with VU+ plugin on Pi and HD Channels.
Its 100% on SD channels and even on VU HD recordings playback.
But streaming HD channels takes 1 min to start and jumps and breakups up.
Not a big issue as its only on 19" TV and SD is fine.
But it would make this Pi 100% instead of 99%.

I had it set up, I'd no issues with playback (overclocked Pi running Openelec with storage on a USB 3.0 pen drive.

My main issue was every time I turned the Pi on it wanted to load my entire channel list and also refresh and load EPG which seemed to take ages. Ended up creating a custom bouquet and only allowing the Pi I see that

anyone used a raspberry pi to watch remote telly from a vu duo2 box by any chance?

Would be interested in the kit you need for the pi, as I'm thinking of buying one -*for the gf ;) so i can watch my telly at her house!

Not sure it would be stable enough to work outside LAN.
If you want to check try at her house with streaming app on phone.
Don't use the transcoding option though as Im not sure that the PI plugin supports that..

I am using a Pi in my bedroom streaming from my solo2 and i run hd no problem.
I'm using a Edimax EW-7811UN wifi dongle to connect to my network and it works flawlessly.
I have tried other wifi dongles but the edimax is the only one I found that works streaming full hd.
Oh and also make sure your using the newest version of openelec as raspbmc wouldn't work in hd for me too.
I hope that helps somewhat with your quest buddy

Its fine on Local network. Streaming across the internet would be the issue.
Unless his girl friends house is next door or within range of his wifi. ;););)
