View Full Version : [VU+ Duo2] warning, skin is missing element state in <class 'Screens.PVRState.TimeshiftState'<
Hi there,
This error is appearing on the box whenever i try to boot up, I can't get any further or log in to the box (well, i cant see the i.p. anyway, but i've tried every ip connected to router)
Apologies but i cannot provide the vix build image version as i can't get anywhere on the box, after that error it just goes to a blue vix screen and sits there, crashed.
Is anyone able to help?
Thanks
Your flash has filled.
If you can't ftp in, it will be best to reflash it.
Grab the latest build on http://openvix.co.uk & flash with that.

Thanks for the promt reply. My apologies, but i'm a bit of a novice with this. What does it mean that the flash has filled?
No space left on internal memory
ah, from recordings?
can i connect up to pc with an ethernet cable and get in that way? seems a hassle to start the flash process again
Check your router to see the IP assigned to the box.
You could then ftp in & try to find whatever is filling the flash.
Flashing tutorials can also be found on http://openvix.co.uk & no harm in doing it that way.
ive managed to connect via ftp. ive also deleted a couple of recordings, about 5gb worth and still getting the error
Do you have an hdd fitted? Where exactly are the movies stored that you are deleting?
there is indeed an hdd fitted, not sure what size. the media was/is in "/media/hdd/movie"
You are deleting from the hdd so, not the flash.
how do i delete from the flash?
Anything under / besides other mounted drives is the internal flash.
Telnet into the box & issue:
find / -type f -size +50000k -exec ls -lh {} \; | awk '{ print $9 ": " $5 }'
This will find any files above 50MB, any on the flash besides kcore probably shouldn't be there...
/var/lib/opkg/lists/openvix-mips32el: 3.9G
/proc/kcore: 2.0G
/media/hdd/movie/.Trash/20131122: 1.9G
/media/hdd/movie/20131121: 521.4M
/media/hdd/movie/20131126: 1.7G
/media/hdd/movie/20131117: 2.2G
/media/hdd/swapfile: 96.0M
/media/hdd/imagebackups/vusolo2-3.0.733-20130907_203929/vuplus/solo2/root_cfe_au
to.bin: 53.3M
root@vusolo2:~#
Anything media/hdd is not your Flash, deleting this won't solve your problem entirely, try moving crossepg to dl to hdd if it isn't already and if you can install a usb and move Picons to this unless you have timeshift permanently enabled then you could move picon folder to hdd instead.
/var/lib/opkg/lists/openvix-mips32el: 3.9G
is your problem, delete that & do a software update to download a non corrupted version.
as i mentioned, i'm a bit of a novice with all this (clueless really). Can i do that without having to reflash? as im not sure id be able to re-install the plugins there is on it
i.e: can i just replace that file?
Yes, just delete that file.
You can then use the remote or telnet to do a software update & a new file will be downloaded.
Just deleting the file seems to have worked. do i still need to do a software update? seems ok so far
If you can access the box after deleting the file, press blue button, vix, backup manager (this will save all your settings), now go to image manager (same location as above) yellow button to download and use version 793.

yes, deleting that file will solve your crash.
No harm in doing a software update now though.
What build are you currently on? Menu -> Information -> About.
Thanks all for your help, excellent support.
While I'm here. I was wondering about the cam software. Confused which is better. CCCam, Newcamd or MgCamD. I couldnt find Newcamd anywhere in the vix softcam download section. Is nline more stable with mgcamd than it is with cccam?

Think you better re-read the rules.
I have indeed read them, and now have done so again thanks. They say i am allowed to discuss cam software, just not upload the files
You can't discuss nline, that's where you fooked up k0dex
