i cant ftp anymore using dreambox control centre

its picking up the box in the search but wont connect

i put down the latest vix number, openvix-3.0.793

i have also reflashed the box since and it still wont let me ftp

If you can't connect with dreambox control centre then you have a simple network or connection problem. Trying another FTP client won't help in these cases.

If DCC can see the box on the network but can't connect it could be a password problem. Also check you have the enigma2 version of DCC, notthe old enigma1 version. When you open DCC the top line should say dreambox control centre E2.

DCC does not get along with images without passwords.

As suggested above use filezilla or set password using telnet.

thanks for the replies

the software is for the enigma 2 and does pick up the box in a search so it must be a password issue.

i will try filezilla or telnet, is there any telnet password dummy guides
