Image, build, box might be handy information here, if you expect any support?

How much did he charge you? could give us an idea as to whether he installed a clone box & ripped you off.

No, I bought the box of worldofsattelite.com, he just fitted me a dish and gave me all the info, it was fine at first, only had it for about a month though, untill my girlfriend set a weekly recording so meet the kardashians would automatically record! But it was recording every episode that came on tv, when I tried to delete them and stop the auto record, it just crashes. Then I unplug it and turn it back on, all the recordings are still ther and the auto record!

Well, if you bought it off the forum sponsor you can be sure it's an original box.
You can find upto date images & flashing guides on http://openvix.co.uk
Crash logs, by default will be in /home/root/logs/
Please upload one when this issue happens.

You can't have missed the info on top of the thread: "
ViX Image build verion
Please provide your ViX Team image build version. Menu > Information > About > Build number > ENTER THIS NUMBER." :confused:

Try build 793, currently latest build available on http://www.openvix.co.uk
Never had the problem myself & I add and delete recordings all the time.
Maybe a plugin you're using?

duggo

Flash your box with a current build.
Flashing guides can also be found on http://openvix.co.uk

Have a read of the flashing guide for your box, should explain the process just fine.

Are images and builds the same thing?

judge
28-11-13, 00:33
Not really, build usually refers to the version number of the image you are using.
Image = ViX
Build = 793

duggo

Oh, I see!do the builds change the layout of your programme guides or something?

judge
28-11-13, 00:44
No, build has nothing to do with programme guides. Refers to updated software with bug fixes, new features & so on.

duggo

So is it better to keep doin the latest updates then?

What do you mean? It only crashed when I was trying to delete a scheduled recording. It seems to have stopped now though. Fingers crossed
