background update check is in progress

Hi guys,

Tried updating to 793 today and keep getting this message - background update check is in progress. Does anyone know how to overcome this please?

if the message doesn't clear itself, check /var/lib/opkg/lists/ for any large file & delete it.

delete openvix-mips32el & run opkg update in a telnet session.
