Hey guys I'm having some problems tuning Sky Box Office, has anyone else encountered this? When I do a channel search it lists 'Sky Box Office' as a channel found but once the search has finished it's nowhere to be seen in my list. It used to show up fine on my previous Dreambox unit.
What image and using AM?
if not look in new channels list.
If yes after scan press zero and than look in the 700' range.

I'm using the Virtuosso Image Extreme version 3.0. Where do I find the new channel list?

Menu > Set Up > Service Searching > AutoBouquetMaker

AutoBouquetMaker? When I go into service searching I only have Tuner Configuration, Automatic Scan, Manual Scan, Fast Scan, Positioner Setup and Sat finder.
When I run though the manual scan and search 28.2E it finds all the channels and I even see it finding 'Sky Box Office' but once the search is finished I press down, hit the red button to list all channels and can't find it anywhere.

sorry just read. you not on ViX are you? can you check in your feeds to locate Liazers AutoBouquetMaker?
Try hitting channel 752 into your remote and see what comes up

It says Virturosso Image Xtreme by ViX. Version 3.0, Build 350.

Nothing happens when I do that. I had to set up favourites manually so it's only the first 40 or so channels that are numbered. I've never known how to install bouquet.

You need to update to be able to use ABM..
For you you can use a set of bouquets i just upload to this forum 2 mins ago..

Would I update and then use the bouquet or just use the bouquet on the image I currently have installed. I've tried going to software update on the box a bunch of times and nothing updates, do I need to reflash from scratch? Sorry for all the questions I've not dealt with this stuff much.
Not sure if you need bootloader, hopefully someone else can confirm. If not press blue button, vix, image manager, yellow, choose top option 792.

When I get to image manager it says "Device: there was a problem with this device, please reformat"

You will needa reflash 400+ builds is way too much to update..
Besides.. After build 760.. It requires a fresh flash..

Ah ok thanks so much for the info. Two quick last questions if possible:
Is it ok to just flash the update or do I need to do the boot loader stuff? I can't even remember how I did it the first time, it was over a year ago.
Lastly, where can I find your bouquet? I clicked the link in your sig but that seemed to be older stuff.

Brilliant! Thank you so much. Is there any chance you could give me some info on how to reflash? I only ever did it once and can't remember the exact process.

yeah do a backup. then grab the latest image, get a usb stick, use quick format and format to fat32, then extract the file to the root of the usb and eject usb then turn skybox off insert usb at the front and turn back on agen

Ok I downloaded the latest image and extracted the rar file so that the Gigablue folder was on the route of the USB stick. I powered the box off, slotted the USB stick in the front of the box and powered it back on. It just loaded the old build as if I didn't have the USB connected. Have I done something wrong?

when you plugged the usb in n powered up the box does it ask on the front of box to press ok or anything?
Have you made sure the folder on the usb says vu plus? Also that you have formatted the usb to Fat32?

VU Plus? It's a GigaBlue 800 UE box I have. When I extract the RAR file it's a 'GigaBlue' folder I have on the root of the USB. Inside that is a 'UE' folder and then inside that is the files to flash. When I plug the USB stick into the box and switch it on, it just starts up as normal and doesn't show anything on the front display about pressing ok?
Also yes it's definitely formatted to FAT32.
If you're looking to update so you can get the boxing you would be safer doing a manual scan for now and then take your time reading the tutorials on flashing your box.

do same n extract bootloader to usb n flash that to the box, then extract latest image n flash that. should work then bud

The latest one listed is dated August 31st 2012, would that be right? I'm sure that's the one I used when I initially set this box up?

just found this:
To flash bootloader: -
1.Copy both burn.bat and cfe.bin to root of USB stick
2.Power off receiver.
3.Connect USB stick to receiver and power on.
4.Wait a few seconds for the bootloader to flash and the receiver to reboot. Be patient, the standby button LED will go red/blue etc.., you must wait for the receiver to reboot itself. Do not remove the stick or power off until fully rebooted.
To flash images follow instructions on the LCD display.

Thanks mate. Going through the setup now, you will probably see a reply on here shortly looking for ABM advice. Thanks to everyone for their help!
Working great now! The ABM worked perfectly, really great little add on. What skin do you guys think looks best? I've never really bothered with any of the before but while I'm sorting everything out I feel like maximising all I can. Also would you recommend using an EPG?

I use crossEPG mate. menu > setup > system > epg > crossEPG. I use openTVproviders and I use sky uk openTV
Recommend crossepg again built into the image, as for skins all I will suggest is try a few you will soon find one which you like more than any others (I use Nou Hd Skin). The developers are always making improvements so I often find trying out new ones, there was a sky one knocking about recently, not for me but if you have just come from sky it might work for you
