VU+ Duo2 Crashes

Hi all I am a newbie

Anytime i go to a submenu, my box crashes and reboots. it happens to the two boxes i have

Using the openvix-3.0.775-vuduo2_usb

Crash logs attached. Any help?

You have installed (or a plugin did that for you) a non-compatible renderer (RollerCharLCDLong.py).
This one has overwritten the default renderer.

Easiest solution would be to do a fresh re-flash of latest build on www.openvix.co.uk

found the issue should be fixed for next build, this bug is only present in some skins when they use the renderer 'RollerCharLCD' or RollerCharLCDLong'

I will want to keep my present settings. took alot of time to build it.

We never can tell. When ready.....

That is seldom (if ever) a problem.
In this case you can simply choose another skin (or await the update).
Otherwise you can make a settings backup and use that for restoring during the first install wizard.

Might help someone else so thought id post although my box is a maxdigital xp1000, I hadn't updated software for ages so did an online one to 793, had problems rebooting so did a clean flash from usb as other posts suggested, i used a backup of previous settings on startup and was having crossepg crashing i removed the plugin from systemplugins and reinstalled and now its fine. Might be worth ago if its only crossepg thats giving you problems.
