Hello,

I'm looking for some assistance getting my Sky Card working with with Vu+ Duo box. I've installed the latest Vix image and downloaded and installed Softcam. I have then created a the cccam.cfg file in the etc folder and inserted the following config:-

BOXKEY: /dev/sci1 serial Number in Hex
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/sci1 3570000

I've then restarted the box, but the subscription channels that I had before are still not working. Can anyone help?

try sci0 or try the other card slot if you have one.

Are you getting any sub channels?

I've just tried sci0 but got subscription channels either. I can get Sky1, but no sports or Movies which I pay for through my subscription

That points to a incorrect boxkey, how sure are you its correct?

The card is working as sub channels are clearing.

Are you getting non hd sports and movies?

I don't subscribe to HD, so I'm not getting those channels. I got the BOXKEY from the bottom of the skybox. I was told that you ignore the first six numbers and then remove the last one and then turned it into hex. Is this correct?

Did you just input those numbers in? if so that is not the box key.

Using what? the calculator function?

I had a boxkeygenerator but cant find it now perhaps one of the other people with it can upload it but that's your best bet

Once you could get the box key from a Telnet command. Stop CCcam , then Telnet CCcam -d - that starts CCcam and on the Telnet screen there should be a line like <boxkey>********</boxkey>

It is some time since I've had to use this, so I've not tested this recently.

On a general note your card should always be in the top slot - which is sci0 - I'm sure someone will post that in their box it doesn't matter which slot you use - but top slot definitely works with everything.
