My old CRT has bitten the dust, much to the wifes delight and my disappointment, goes into standby with a tinkling sound coming out

Before you say it Rib, nothing to do with me act of god:D

After a 32 - 40 max inch lcd

Any recommendations?

I'd recommend a Sony bravia. They might be a bit more expensive than a few other brands but they're worth every penny IMO.

You can't go wrong with the Samsung smart TV ranges buddy, I have 3 all different sizes and no a single issue with either. You also have the added bonus of all the ondemand, itv BBC channel 4 and 5

This is my current TV, I do like Sony too even if you pay a slight premium...
Fantastic display on it though, better than any other TV in the house.

I got it cheaper than the price on that site by calling into my local Sony dealer.

LG.....ye canny whack it !!

Have both LG & Samsung, would prefer to pay the extra few £ on a Sony though.
LG & Samsung beat the Sony for HDMI inputs, but Sony beats both on PQ.

How long is the warranty on LG though?
I do like the one I have, but prefer to use the Sony.
Got my Sony for less than advertised price & 3 year warranty without any extra cost.
