Hi all i loaded a tv list (not sure what went wrong) reset box and now it says A5H i have tried EVERYTHING I have a null 9 pin female to female i have read ALL the guides but still all i get on the STB EROM software is..... Synchronizing STBs please reset target! i think the port is faulty but im not sure so thats why im asking you guys to see if i missed anything. If i had known the only way to recover is by a Null lead i would have gone for a different stb.

Power off receiver.

Start the recovery software on PC

Synchronizing STBs please reset target <<< When you get that message power on the unit. If your RS232 is setup correctly the software will detect the receiver.

Hi mate thanks for the quick reply, i have tried that (for the past 2 days) but nothing i have even loaded xp on my pc to see if it would work with that but nothing.

Could be your serial port on PC.

What exact channel list did you load up?

No port has been used before was ok it was a custom one that I done with the editing software
