Hi

I've just run an update on my Duo2 (34 updates in total) the screen currently says "Update in progress .... this should take a few minutes" it's been running for about 20 - 25 mins is this normal should I let it carry on or should I power the box off and on?

Tom.

Try this via telnet before powering off:

init 4 && opkg update && opkg upgrade && init 6

never used telnet before, do I type the instructions using telnet via a laptop?

Yes open a command prompt, but if you where trying to update a build older than 760 to latest you'll need to re-flash.

I've rebooted my box, it's restarted fine, but the 34 updates are still available to update, if I look at the changes via the " Software update" screen then "view the changes" the top line reads "openvix build 783"

I've open Microsoft Telnet typed in the line with the spaces comes back with "invalid command"
Will Telnet automatically connect to the Duo2 box or do I need to manually connect first?

yes thats the command to manually update the image i always use when updating multiple receivers ( i do one or two via the online method and the rest via telnet ).
