Crossepg 0.7 openTV 28.2 getting stuck at reading titles

Xp1000 problems since crossepg 0.7.2
i am on build 782
no crossepg problems on my Solo2 on same build.
gets stuck at reading titles 488kb
i have uninstalled crossepg deleted crossepg folders and epg.dat and reinstalled crossepg. problem remains.
have flashed a fresh 782 build without restoring any settings and the problem is still there.

Yes its a problem. Dont use opentv. Use xmltv or xepgdb

Updated to build 783 with updated crossepg 0.7.03 same problem.

Have you tried a complete fresh flash and setup?

we need some more information about your setup such as.

What is your tuner configuration, motorized or fixed ?
Have you tried setting up a swap file when using CrossEPG ?.

Basically the more information you can provide the better we will be able to help you.

Yes have tried a full reflash without any settings restore.
Single tuner configured for 28.2
Just tried with a swap same situation.
If i uninstall th crossepg .7.03 and manually install 0.6.2 it works as it always has

i let it complete fully which took about 15 min
someting in there about about maximum loop exceeded after both reading titles and reading summaries

same issues as ET's i think it is to do with the way high kernels deal with DVB it is having trouble reading raw data from sat stream via the demux.

it is the loops in raw data stream to make sure it collected all the data, basically it is saying it can't get the all the data from the stream.

Seems to be happening to single tuner boxes.
Is it something to do with trying to use spare tuner in new crossepg?

it used E2 to change channels, the new version uses spare tuner

Not all single tuner boxes. Works perfectly fine on my Vu+ Uno and TM-Nano-OE.

The only advantage new crossepg has is for the multiple tuner boxes.

Not necessary, CrossEPG works fine on my single tuner boxes, there does seem to be a issue with xtrend receivers that at present looks driver / kernel related.

Some receivers dont. Eg xtrend and xp1000
Thaere is no loss of functionality for single tuner boxes if crossepg acquires the tuner using the old method(only for single tuner ones). This way atleast all boxes would work.

I'm seeing exactly the same issue on a genuine VU+ Duo. Using clean install of v783 with restored plugins - it's difficult for me to do a fresh config as I'm trying to do this remotely. CrossEPG hangs at reading titles using OpenTV provider to download Sky UK (28.2). How did you download / install the older plugin?

Dou shoulnt have this issue
Search the net for crossepg 0.6.2 ipk mips copy to temp filder in root. Go to settings - vix - install local plugin.
Before that uninstall the current crossepg from plugins menu.(can be installed again from feeds)
This will probably be updated again with an update

Hardly something I expect to hear from a supposed IT professional.

CrossEPG works perfectly for me on 7 receivers ( Vu and TM models ).

Andy has also said he's looking into why its not working on the xtrend and maxdigital range but that's looking like a driver or kernel related issue.

Why. It fixes the issue . By using crossepg U are basically asking your stb for a sat epg update. It works using xepgdb. It doesnt work on opentv. What else can you do if its not working. Also your attitude stinks

I have spent countless hours helping users and trying to replicate issues reported, but as I dont own any of the affected models thats rather difficult wothout going out and buying one.

Build 786 should be fine, when running manually give it time to complete, takes approx 4mins or so.

Yes, 28.2 + 13 deg took around 6mins roughly.

I have this exact issue on my VU+ Solo2. It's also not downloading automatically even though set to do so, so I assume that is failing too. Any help appreciated.

This has been said more times than i can remember, when reporting a issue we need you to tell us a little information such as what image your using including the build number etc, without this simple information there is very little we can do other than guess and that helps no one.

Apologies. VU+ Solo2, Build 790, Kernel 3.3.8, Drivers 2013-11-06 and last update 2013-11-16. Both tuners fixed to 28.2. Cross EPG v 0.7.0 Not changed any settings.

Hi, I still haven't had any response on this, any help out there? I have tried all sorts of settings in ABM, some seem to work and are quick but I seem to be left without ch5HD, no idea if this is related or coincidence? Still don't really understand after being asked to supply all the details I get no response but hey :confused::eek:

Ch5HD is another issue. It's not related to CrossEPG. CrossEPG works fine on my XP1000 after removing then re-installing the plugin.
