I think I made the right choice, this box is fast and will do everything I need.

If I had to pick one little thing I don't like, the LED on the front is way to bright if the box is right in your line of sight. I've turned the led off for now, still comes on for a few secs when I record though and it is like someone shining a very bright light in my eyes for those few seconds.

Yep.. You are correct.. The little LED bluelight is very bright.. But you have found where to disable..

I agree.. Quad is fantastic for the money..

I just took delivery today of my 3rd one.. and would not swap them for Solo2`s or Duo2`s..

Yeah, it's pretty bright alright.
I set mine to Led state on run - None, no need for it...
Left it on red for record, but turned the annoying blinking off.
And like Mr. Mister, having both Quad & Solo 2, If I was buying one again in the morning, I'd buy the Quad.

Car window tinting film would do the trick ;)

Tech manufacturers have gone LED crazy. Under my TV I have an STB, Sound Surround, NAS drive, Router and a Youview box.
It was an 'LED Fest'!
"Black Insulator Tape RULES OK!" lol :)
