View Full Version : Weird behaviour, screen resolution

Hi,

I've installed 3.0.770 on both my VU+ Solo's. One thing I noticed after using 2.3 for a long time, and 3.0.730 for a shorter time, is that with the new software the receiver behaves differently when I switch between a HD channel and a regular channel. The screen flicks and changing channel is slower than before. In older soft it was possible to define what default resolution receiver should have. Now I can't find that setting. Behaviour is the same on two units with two different screens. Is this a bug or is it intended to work this way?

Hi Guy's,

how did you update to this image version? If it's an online update then you will have issues.

You have to do a proper install from usb etc. I had to and all is well again on my boxes.

Hope this helps.

?!?!?

Thanks for the reply.

I did a online update from a flash programmed 3.0.753 to 3.0.775

I can give it a try to flash update to the latest and see if it makes any difference.

any build above 760 required a fresh flash, not an online update.

You can do a settings back up & restore them on a fresh flash.
Images can be found on http://openvix.co.uk

Or blue button, vix, image manager, download. Do a settings Backup first.

Blue button > ViX > Backup manager.

if your flashing from a different image to ViX then you would need to use the USB stick, but if your already using ViX ( newer images only ) you can use the Image manager to flash the receiver directly without the need for a USB stick. Just download the image from the server to the receiver and press the restore button, the flash should take 2 to 4 minutes.

Hi all,

I can confirm that it now works as before, after doing a USB Flash programming.

Thanks for help and support.
