Reception found on the Astra 2F

Hello all,
I know this is still going on about recieving on the astra 2f from Vejle Denmark - I did say my comments on this subject was at an end since I hav'nt been able to recieve anything since the 2f was launched - but I've just updated the frequencies/scanned etc and for the first time found 10 transponders with excellent reception while the original 5 still remain at zero% snr.
So how can it be theres a mixture of reception and no reception of transponders all from the 2f UK spot beam? To my mind, if the beam is transmitting over here, then it must be on all transponders - or if not then no reception on all transponders should be the case . I just don't get it.

1) the 2F signal has increased by about 10 -15% over the last 2 weeks ( nobody seems to know why or whether its to do with 2E becoming operational)
2) the first frequencies are 2F UK beam, the second are 2F PE beam.
You could try realigning your dish onto the 2F frequencies if you can do that, as quite a few people are picking up the UK beam when they couldn,t until recently.
2E should become live sometime before Xmas, replacing 1N... Astra,s Xmas joke

Many thanks for the info, twol, I'll give the dish a little movement test although its on a motor positioner so I belive is positioned as accurately as possible - at least so accurately I can recieve some satellites from russia on weak signal.
Didnt know of the 2F PE beam either - thanks again.

i receive the higher band frequencies with SNR %70 from turkey and wonder why UK beam is so narrow even for denmark:confused:

Still nothing on the Uk spot beam on 2f for me either using a gibertini 1.25
I am just up the road (sort of) in Barrit, looks like it could be a xmas switch over to streaming for the freesat channels for us

Yes, Zola, I'm inclined to agree, it'll soo be adious to the UK national tv channels for us here. This subject of reception of the astra 2f from east jutland seems to just get weirder - I've just found a place on the internet where this subject was being discussed and read reports of reception from Frederikshavn, in the north of jutland, yet here in east jutland we get none - sometimes..... The reception report said varying signal strengths , sometimes dying out during the late night. There was also mention of a "dead zone" - no one recieving at all - and this passes through mid jutland crossing our area.....just a case of shit happening I guess.
