Slow Startup?

Hey guys,

My box would take several minutes to do a full reboot/restart and it always has taken this long. Is that normal?

Second; I had unknowingly been using the flash ram for my channel guide and have since switched to an external HDD. Is it worth my while clearing the flash now and if so. how can I do this?
