Any one point me in the right direction,ihave just got a vu+duo scan in sum astra2 channels was hoping to be able to use my s-y card to veiw channels it's a white 1
is this possible?

i think i have sorted my box key but there are no downloadable cams in my plugins? just system and extensions

You will need to flash with a third party image such as VIX1.1, VTI, AAF etc...

Download the image from here, format a USB stick as fat 32,extract and put the file called DUO onto it, stick it it in the front USB power off from mains and reboot - follow the onscreen instructions to set up. Once down, go in to software management and extensions and download CCcam.
You will need DCC to connect to box.

Almost there got the VIX image in downoaded cccam 2.14 now trying to EDIT it loaded filezilla trying to FTP to the box but cant get passed the user name and password or do i need DCC if so where can i find it?

unless you have set a password you dont need one, just use the user name Root

The box comes up as bm750 i didnt put a password in tried various combinations root admin etc ip address etc still cant get in is it best to connect direct? or try somthing other than filezilla? so what as every one else us?

Filezilla works great, are you sure your IP address for the box is correct ? have you set a specific port number for your VU if so you will need to specify it with the IP address. It sounds like you can see it on your network but have no access due to IP problems and not username/password.

No the default password does not exist until you create one

Just had additional thought on your access problem, is your firewall preventing access ? try using the Network configuration wizard in the filezilla edit menu.

so the box must have a password can i find it or clear it

i can remote stream via the IP address

all i wont to do it edit the CCcam 2.14 with my box number to get my extra channels decoded

this wont give up without a fight day 3 now 1 day it will work arrrr

Use DCC centre, never had any issues.
Also its always a good idea to set a password and to do that telnet into the box via CMD and after loginn type passwd

Had same prob myself. Used the following. Yes DCC requires you to have a password set.

Telnet to to your VU+ as follows: -

open cmd prompt
Telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx <<box ip
User = root
Pass = leave blank and press enter
type = passwd
You will then get prompted to enter a password, which you wont acutally see on screen. Then prompt it to enter again. Thats it.
