Is there going to be an ET10000 and will this get Vix support?

There is another mainly German forum more closely associated with the Xtrend hardware which has announced that it will cease. This forum has been a source of information for hardware repair. Anyone care to comment as to what has happened?

no plans to offer support at the moment as far as i'm aware, although i'm not the person(s) who decide which models we do offer support for.

I had my et9200 for almost 2 years and it has been a brilliant box. Lets hope they still make boxes and it is the forum that is the problem

Both my ET boxes have been great.
Recently a new Xtrend German online shop was opened and both Et-view-support.com and another WEB site are linked. As both are there as the Xtrend support site and have forum activities, I can only summise that this has caused an issue.... but then again I am often wrong :)

Thanks, I have found an 'Xtrend Home' forum. I presume that is what you are referring to.

Is this receiver on sale now as I'm struggling to find any where stocking it. All I can find are images for the box or people talking about it on the xtrend forums.

The ET1000 is 479 euros in a shop in Finland with 1 DVB-S2 Tuner Fitted --- extra tuners are 30 euros for a DVB-S2 & 40 euros for a DVB-T2/C

It's a lovely box and much better then the duo2 but to expensive for me. UK price wise be around 400+ mark and with extra tuners be more then 480

about £40 more than the price of a DUO2 with all 4 Tuners and the extra tuners can be added later i am tempted ;)

and recent reports about the Duo2's reliability have put me off getting one

Same here duo2 is solid. gets used from 07:30 until 00:00 or later and it's rock solid, absolutely no reliability issues whatsoever

The Duo2 are no less reliable than any other receiver on the market, just a few over zealous / inexperienced users posting scare stories.

I just sold my solo2 and just ordered an ET10000 from Germany, I had a ET9200 and Xtrend makes some solid and decent hardware. Which is why I am coming back to xtrend. I hope the vix team does an image for it.

The 8k & 10k are supposed to have an improved security board.
IMHO VU makes the better hardware (and Xtrend the better drivers).

I got my shiny new ET10000 a few days ago. Just playing around with images to see what suits me best(currently on Vix ). Want transcoding to be fully supported as I know its a new box so better drivers and plugins will follow. But the build quality is fantastic. I ll put up a few pics soon.

atm transcoding for the ET10k is fully supported in PLi, XTA and the factory image. Not sure about transcoding support for LX3.

I got the latest xta but not sure how to do transcoding. On the vu it was simple as the app for vu was great.

ET-transcoding is still WiP. As it is now it needs a lot of DiY-work to get it running. See also
