Ok guys . Decided I wanted to do a sofeware update on my duo. Im currently using vix 3.0 build I think was 700 if that makes sense.
Anyway selected software update, goto the part where it says something like gathering package data, and I had a power cut !! Great timing. Now my box just gets to tbe vix home blue screen and does nothing else. I have backed up on my hdd but not usb,,
Anybody help !!!!!!

Cheers

Try reflashing the latest image ( build 770 ).

images and tutorials can be found on www.openvix.co.uk

Hi mate

Download latest build and reflash using usb stick when you get to reboot your can restore your save settings and plugins. If this fails then suggest you disconnect the hdd and any usb stick if used for picons and see if that helps.

Ok so ive left the box off all night, formatted usb again , put the files back on , put usb into the box , switched the box on, says flashing, programming, then remove usb, reboot box, so I do and it just says starting on the front and nothing else happens.

Can anyone point me in the right direction !!!

Thanks in advance

You can try to 'update' the bootloader first and then the image.

Yep, it is in the download section. Same way flashing an image.

Hi guys

Just a big thank you to you all. I ended up taking the HDD out and plugged it into the laptop and got the back from it, put it on a usb then into my box and all is fine again.

Thanks for your help
