Then please upload the crashlog that was generated with this crash, otherwise there is no way we can help.

Hi,
videomode plugin is not a plugin anymore it is included in ViX. After build 760 you should have done a settings backup and a fresh installation of ViX and then restore your settings. It seems you did an update from a version < build 760.

for the update, gutted, all my mates have online updated their boxes as well. How can we know when an online update will break the box?

When u say included in vix is it not something that can be manually set anymore or is it in a different menu.
