View Full Version : Using sky card
Hi All,
Quick question, how do I use my sky card in my duo2 box, is just a question of inserting the card or is it a bit more involved?
You need to install a cam to decode the card.
Cccam is probably the easiest & can be found on http://openvix.co.uk
You need to create your own config file though, it's a simple text file & should be named Cccam.cfg & placed in /etc/
If you have any premium subs like movies or sports, you need to add a boxkey to that file.

Actually it needs to be named CCcam.cfg (the capitals are important)
Just a follow up question, do I ftp cccam onto the box and then also create the text file via ftp, can you please expand on "boxkey"

Please ignore my last post i've download the wrong file
Which ftp program would you recommend?
Filezilla is pretty good and free :)
This may seem like a draft question, if the duo2 has a wifi connection and a browser can the ipk. file be downloaded directly?
not sure on the answer to that mate, but if you have a android phone you can use an app called andftp to ftp to your reciever. Simply dl the ipk file to your phone use the app to locate and put the ipk file in tmp folder. go to remote, press blue button, vix, install manager (something like that) tick the ipk file and dl job done.
Sorry if not related and reason for asking but CCcam.cfg is not an ipk file its notepad ++ and as such goes into etc folder on receiver.
