Multi option not working

I updated from firmware 753 to 761 using the instructions in the forum by adding the new file to USB (not doing an online update) and the new multi option was working fine. Really enjoyed using it - thanks Vix team.

When version 762 came out, I reverted back to the online update option. But 'Multi' wasn't working.
So I reloaded my previous working 761 and then tried updating again using the USB to update.
Still no joy with the new multi.
I also tried the download option in vix image restore. Same problem.

I gave up (reverted to 761) until version 763 came out today. Went through all the above again, but still no multi working.

So, I'm back on version 761 and multi is switching perfectly.

Am I missing something obvious, have I missed a forum post somewhere? (Just surprised nobody else has complained about the problem)

Why are newer versions after 761 not working with Multi for me?

Has the vix team removed the new fix to get multi working?

Can you tell me a channel with so i can test..

because they are very rare and i cuold not find one for switching to 60Hz

Just tested with movie that is 30i and refresrate is switched to 60HZ, so Multi works like it should here.

I'll try installing without updating settings or plugins and see if it works. If not, I'll grab a log so you can see what's going on. Back soon!

OK, tried with fresh install. No plugins or settings restore.

I did a scan of 28.2E so I could get a picture.

Set logs to yes and switched off.

I booted up, went to play a 30i mp4 and box didn't switch to 60hz. I pressed stop, then exit back to TV channel.

Looking at log, it didn't detect any change. But normal tv (BBC 1 HD) is 25 and shows at 1080i50hz and previously it would switch back and forth between 50 and 60hz.

Hope you can figure out what is happening from the logs.

I noticed this in the log videomode section

Could the cannot open /proc/stb/avs/0/input_choices be the problem?

You are using 30p mp4 movie...so plays with 30HZ

But Andy lets you know that also 30p wil be supported in 60Hz when only usin Multi.
With autoresolution on 30 p will be played in 30HZ

You are correct, with auto resolution on (using 761) it does switch my tv to 1080 30p and with auto resolution set to no it shows 1080i 60.

But with 762 and 763 it is not changing. It is showing it at 1080i 50 which makes it jurky.

thanks for the logs etc, in debugging it is compacted stuff, next version should allow you to only use Auto resolution on HD video source, so SD channels get scalled by the STB, handy as some TV's (Samsung) has no way to turn on off overscan in SD resolutions.
