Can anybody tell me of a program i can use to modify a skin?
I used to use E2 Skinner -which allowed you to view the changes in the designer page, but now i find the later skins like Magic HD night will no longer load into this program

The version of E2 skinner i have is 2.1

Best way is to use a simple editor (like Notepad ++).
E2Skinner hasn't been updated for quite some time and isn't able to cope with the modern skin-engine used in ViX.

Yes i know but only way you can then view your changes is to upload back into box. Very slow process

That is currently the only real way to work with modern skins.

That depends on the box: a Solo2/DUO2/GB-quad will restart E2 in a couple of seconds.
