I am getting random tuner failure on itv 1 hd
The error message is tuner failed.
I have flashed the the box again with the latest vix image & FTP the latest whannabe motor channel list
It is freezing on both tuner a & b
Tuner is connected to the fixed dish
Tuner b is connected to a motorised dish

I have a vu+duo which works perfectly when connected to the same cables upstairs. When I plug the venton into the downstairs cables it still happens.
Any ideas

Check tuner A 1st. Menu > Setup > Service Searching > Manaul Scan > Set to Tuner A and Type of Scan to Single satelllite. You should find approx 970 channels. Once complete move motor dish to 28.2 and do the same on Tuner B.

Settings/bouquets will remain the same. Just do a manual single satellite scan on each tuner.

Seen a similar report, this solved it:

Set the fixed dish to simple, tone burst A/B – port A 28.2e – Port B automatic.

Motor dish is using positioner as normal.

What where the results of your manual scan on each tuner? Where they both the same?

Also try connecting motor dish to Tuner A. Is the motor dish a direct feed through the motor or is another receiver controlling the motor?

Set fixed dish to tuner B - Set the fixed dish to simple, tone burst A/B – port A 28.2e – Port B automatic.

The results were the same both had the same amount of channels on

The venton is controlling the motor directly

I will swap the tuners over & scan them again

Something is wrong in your dish/lnb/cabling setup. You should be pulling in well over 900 channels.

Check your alignement, lnb, feeds etc.. should have around 960 on each.

Agreed I have 973 on both A + B tuners on Venton HD2 and Vu Duo. Still not too fond of Venton though.
