I have just received my Vu+Duo back after it was repaired.(the PSU had failed). Now I have a problem with program selection. If I am recording a program I cant watch another program it comes up with tune failed, also i can only record one program at a time. Is this a problem with my tuner cnfiguration, and if so what can I do to sort it.

Try swapping the connections at the back of the box to see if this makes any difference, Atleast that way you can rule out if it's these.

go to tuner configuration, set B as equal to A,, ? that should sort it, cheers satcat

'equal to' sometimes gives problems (not sure why; seems to be an E2 flaw). Better is to set up all tuners completely (and correct of course).

Something ive always wondered.
I have 2 twin tuners
1 A and B
2 C and D
A and B are both connected to disk facing 28 Degrees quad LNB and set up as
Simple
Simple
Astra 28

Do I have to do a search on both inputs A and B (2 separate searches)
or
Do I only search A and that will work on B as well or search B and that will work for A

1- You only have to do one search.

2- What are tuners C & D connected to? Set up as ....?

C connected to motor 1.2 dish mainly use 19 14 deg Astra

D not connected

Then I suggest to congigure as follows:
Tuner A & C connected to the fixed dish
Tuner B connected to the motor
Tuner D set to 'loopthrough to tuner C'

Why not use a tuner you paid for?

Channel settings are not specific to tuner. You just do the one scan, any tuner that requires (and can use them) will use them.

Yes.
E2 always works with only one channellist (for any specific tuner type). If the tuner config is OK, the box 'knows' which tuner can receive which channels.

Tried this and found that instead of tuner A working tuner B was working instead. Could this mean a faulty LNB connector on the back of the box

That is why i suggested switching the connections around to rule this out.

How do I set up tuners. When I go in to Sat Finder Tuner B looks as if it is not working

When I go into Sat Finder and click on tuner B the boxes at the top SNR: AGC: and Lock are all empty, whereas Tuner A has readings and a tick in the lock box. How do I remedy this

What have you connected into each tuner?
Does this match with what you have configured it as?

If teh config matches the real life setup but you still don't get a signal, the tuner may not be inserted fully. Take it out fully and re insert it, making sure that it is inserted properly. If still no joy, try taking out "not working" tuner and connect in different port. Change config to match and try again.
