View Full Version : VIX 760 problem!!

Hi folks, I have been trying to flash my box to version 760. I backed up my settings and plugins but each time it come to the start channel (BBC1 HD) it crashes and goes into a loop. I have tried restoring settings but not plugins and it does the same. I will try next without a restore and see if that cures it. Anyone else had this problem?

Just to advise, it worked without the restore but the other half isn't pleased that I now have to set everything up again!

Did you do an online update? If you did you shouldn't have for this build.

Hi mate, I followed the instructions & flashed with my USB stick. All working ok again now but had to start everything from scratch.

Ha wouldn't you know it, I've just upgraded via USB, restored, and like you keeps crashing. Oh well I'll sort it in the morning.

Well, I think you understand that without the crashlogs you guys now have we can't fix any issue at all .

Hi Rob, how do I get a crash log if the box doesn't stay up long enough?

Even a crashing box is accessible via FTP.

Anyway: we're now on build 762. Maybe flash again?

Haha, now that's service.
762 installed fine with a backup restore no problems.

Use image installer apposed to using the flash drive . It works a treat .. As Rob advised me yesterday .. Make you backup in VIX menu, then use image installer and then use restorer to put your plugins back on.. 10 minutes max and no USB stick worries of booting up ..
