No you should NOT use NON PLUS IMAGES on the PLUS version.

VIX is not ready for release yet on the plus models.

Sorry lads but we cant get into timeframes on image releases, we will release when we are happy the image and receiver work as expected.

That would be fantastic Sicilian. I have one of these and bought it off WOS on the basis of the claims at the time that it came loaded with Vix. It didnt of course. 2 months later and its still not available, infact images for this box seem concentrated in Europe rather than UK.

I am getting a little sick of Openmips as the majority of plugins simply do not work and engaging in German a language I dont read or speak would be a little tedious.

as said many many times, we cant and wont give ETA's for image releases, we will only release a image when it has been tested on several receivers and when were happy both the receiver and image work as expected.

I really understand your feeling. But I also hope you can understand that we want to have things in good working order at the time we release an image.
Anyway: we're working on it.

So I have been through Openmips and OpenATV......... to say they are frustrating images would be an understatement.

Has any headway been made at all with Vix for the Plus models ?

Again I think I have been mugged here guys as it was sold by the sponsors as coming with Vix OE3.0

I am willing to Beta Test with the box I bought if that helps in any way. Grateful for a reply. Thanks

Good Rob. I have just bricked my box with the OPenATV online software update! Its stuck at the bootlogo.

I have put a new image on the USB to see if it will see that and ask to load it (like the vu+'s) but it doesnt do anything. Is there a different recovery sequence on the gigablues ?

I have plenty of linux satellite boxes so the recovery on these dont seem to be straight forward. I hope I am not in Null modem territory as my old PC is 200 miles away!

Unfortunately not Rossi. Stuck at bootlogo.

Newly formated FAT32 Pen drive, tried in back and front ports. Switch on/off scenario.

Problem solved..........

For some reason didnt recognise previously recognised and previously working Kingston Pen Drive! Used another one and it worked.

No its can't be used on we models only UE. Are you sure its not an se version out??

Have so far tested Zeus on the 800 se + and the quad 800 both are great better than any other image I have tried...and with updates already taking place adding fixes it seems the only way is up..

way to go vix team :-)
