Just downloaded DreamOn for my Iphone and it works pretty much 100% on the Duo you can

Change channels with it (really annoys the wife!!)
View the EPG very quick & add timers

I've only tried it on my local network but I'm sure it will work over the Web once i set up access on my Duo

Just thought I'd let you know

In the URL box, you need to put your dynds details.
Like below...

http://whateveryouarecalled.dyndns.org:vu port number

Have you set your Username and Password
I think leaving blank is default.

basically im entering mydns: portno then in my user name im root and password as i have set it

when i go through lan mode by typing my ip 192 etc my username root and password it fine just does not work when i put in my dns

btw any one that has not got a iphone or itouch but has android then dreamdroid is the same there is also an app enigmanoid too for remote access

That will be great lammy

i also emailed the maker of the app got this reply
Hi, if your dyndns setup is correct everything should work. Try to enter your address in a browser. If it Connects to your dreambox, dreamn should work too. DreamOn uses the same http calls than the web-interface.

Kind regards
Bernd

Hi,

It is likely not to work using your dyndns address because that resolves to your external broadband address (assuming you have a local LAN/WIFI with NAT) - and you would need a firewall rule to allow tcp/80 inward on your firewall. It is not always allowed by broadband firewalls.

Creating a firewall rule for tcp/80 inward to your dreambox (or vu) is a bit of a security problem as your enigma web interface would be available to the outside. You might be able to enable authentication for the web interface if you are going to forward tcp/80.

If you do create the firewall rule - it is possible that you will not be able to connect from your local wifi - but if you turn off your iphone wifi (forcing it to use 3g), your iphone will be outside your firewall - and it should work.

Have you got http authentication enabled?

I just went to 'More' >>>> 'Configuration' >>>> 'Add Configuration'......

Then....

Name: (What ever you like)
URL:
http://your.dns.com:xxxx xxxx=what ever port number you set on the box
Anonymous login: ON
Username : roor
Password: (what ever you set)
System: Enigma 2

Click 'save and test' = Worked correctly.

Hope this helps.

You did open the port number on your router that corresponds with your VU Duo ?
Have a read of this.

just purchased & configured this app to work with my dyndns address also :)

I did have to create an incoming firewall/nat rule for TCP port 80 on my firewall - but it works perfectly!

Hey all
I'm trying to get this working remotely via net on my iphone. I can connect with ip address but how do I find out what my dyndns is and what to enter into the url field ?

Sorry if this is basic stuff but I'm a bit clueless with networks and such like.

Many thanks

you need to open up a new port on router and use that one to forward to the box

the one you use for softcam wont work you need a new one

then in webinterface plugin on box you set that port in the forward port and make sure you have authenticate ticked

if this is too vaugue then i'll explain in detail
