Hello

I'm quite new to all this and hope someone can help.
I purchased my Gigablue quad to replace my freeview box and media center pc.
The TV side of things I've managed to get up and running and is great however on the media center side of things I'm having one issue that I cannot figure out.
The audio is extremely low when playing back MKV files that ive transferred over to my external USB hdd via FTP.

I've tried changing the digital down mix but it makes no difference.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks

Then it looks like sound in those files is on a low volume.
I take it that playback of recordings is fine in this respect?

Yes the recording are fine, just seems to be the files that I have transferred to the USB HDD.

Also just to add, I've tested the files in question on two other PC's and the sound level is fine.

Did a little bit more investigating and it looks like all my recordings are being recorded with Stereo audio and all the files I'm having issues with are 5.1 surround sound.

So I'm assuming that the digital down mix converts the sound to stereo, but it's not working?

On my PC i have just converted one of the MKV files to only have stereo sound, then transferred it to my gigablue box and now it plays fine, something I'd rather not have to do with all my MKV files :(
