Hi, i have a virgin superhub which i use in modem mode with my own router, i think my router is on the way out and wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions as to a good replacement, doesn't have to be cheap, but not overly expensive, thanks.

LOL, TBH you would be better off taking the time to fit cables and use GBLAN ;)
Had a sticking head cold the past few days, can't quite focus on the screen let alone see what I'd written (or tried to write :D )

What's wrong with using the virgin media hub?

i have had problems with it in the past, the wifi is far better using my own router with the superhub in modem mode, has worked fine for for the past 18 months anyway.

the old superhub was a piece of crap dropping wifi, the new one is much better and no need for router.

The superhub i have is only a few years old, i have tried it without my own router but wasn't impressed, connection speeds are much better with my own router.

i have just signed up to bt and had problems port forwarding the router "bt home hub 4" and was looking at a new router and read very good write on on these very £££.. Billion BiPAC 7800N Dual WAN ADSL2+/Broadband Wireless-N Gigabit Firewall Modem Router. sorted it in the end so never needed to get one.
